From visiting the galleries and museums, I have been filled to the brink with fresh inspirational ideas and ways in which I can further develop my processes. Although, we began by creating a series of quick sketches/drawings to elaborate our words for the current project of 'Three Words'. I wanted to particularly work with thicker/bolder mediums such as ink and charcoal to really elaborate my words within the creation. I really enjoyed this short task because it enabled us to be very open minded with our words as I felt that a lot of other students had the instant assumption of what they wanted their outcome to be. In my mind, I did have a garment in mind, but this process of drawing really helped me to exhaust my ideas further with primary work and experimentation using different mediums and textures.

In addition to these drawings, I wanted to experiment with them further and considering that I was working with thicker mediums, I tried to make them look much more bold or juxtapose that idea by making my drawings look very minimalistic and simple, yet with a strong, conveying message behind it. The next step for me would be to work on the stands to get more of an idea about concept designs, however I can now take these drawings into perspective whether that being the material I use, the possible slashes in my drawings could resemble pleats or fraying and many more concepts. I think drawing is very important when it comes to fashion, whether that being an observational drawing of an object or space or even a fashion illustration. Nonetheless, it helps us to develop our ideas further to make it as unique and original as possible, which is what makes a great designer.
Furthermore, I think that I would have liked to have produced more drawings but we had a very short time frame in which we could complete these. Also, I would have liked to have used other materials and mediums such as coloured paper, newspaper, fabric, watercolour paints, finger painting and many more. Hence, I will try my best to develop further from my creations to try get even more links into where this is taking me to, whether that being a garment, print or wall hanging.
