This morning we were given our project, which was named 'Structural Attachment in Mono'. Hence, this immediately provoked thoughts of all the things which could relate to this theme, such as buildings, science, natural forms, social views, clothing, accessories, religion, family, relationships and much more. In addition to this project, we were given a task to bring in 3 objects/images relating to structure and 3 objects/images which relate to attachment. Moreover, we had to observe and draw these objects/images with different medias to create and expand our developmental work, which all goes towards our current project. Thus, we got a vast amount of primary developmental pieces created today from using our relative objects.
Clearly, the whole class benefited from doing this task with creativity and originality because it relates well to our project. The things that I could have done differently was the choice of medias that I have used, plus I could have added a bit more detail to some of my pieces. Nonetheless, there is always an opportunity to go over my pieces to add more detail and tones to make them look more realistic in my sketchbook. Within the week, we are going to exhibitions at galleries and museums such as the V&A and the Saatchi Gallery. Not to mention the other galleries and museums I visited over the summer holidays. Therefore, I will get a lot more research and development sketches to help me carry this project further, whether that being a drawing, design, print or even a mini twirl.
