(Collaged illustrations produced by Myself)
As a turning point, I want to start developing back into not only my stand work but the beginning of creating quick illustrations as I am drawing nearer towards the end of my Final Major Project (FMP). Hence, to make this process even faster, I traced over some of the prints that I had created previously, photocopied them as a layering and then cut them out into the shapes that followed through the photocopy or whatever I wanted to make it. I have done this before in my sketchbook and had left it bare, but I wanted to add some slight detail to make it look even more like a collaged illustration or at least more obvious to be part of a garment. I will intend to start designing soon as I need to have more of an idea as to what I want to achieve by the end of this project, especially if I am going to create more than one garment piece.
Below is the original tracings I did of my print to create the cut outs for my collages, but I also wanted to experiment them with colour and I am still referring back to blues and reds mostly, but this still may change once I have my samples printed onto fabric and start to work with them more effectively in 3-D as oppose to just in my sketchbook. Not only that, but it will also help me to develop creating my quick sketches and designs for concept ideas to make my FMP really strong and effective before I begin to construct my garment(s).
