(Prints produced by Myself via Photoshop)
I have been wanting to complete these prints for a while and I was inspired by the work I saw at the Tate Modern from Edvard Munch. Although, the painting you see above was the one that I recreated to make it seem more personal and relatable to my theme. In addition, I used some of my previously completed prints to layer on top of the painting I made and I think this added a really nice, subtle detail to the print. I would really like to have these prints digitally printed, similarly to the first few prints I produced earlier this week. Moreover, I feel that using a painting with people in the image have a lot more sentimental meaning, especially if there is an obvious sense of emotional depth within the painting and in this case, it suggests fear, sadness and much more. I feel that the next stage to this process would be to recreate my own painting or perhaps use a primary photograph directly relating to my Final Major Project (FMP).
I can imagine this print looking very nice on a light, opaque piece of organza fabric as it will look even more flowy and distort than it already is from my Photoshop work. If I could have done anything differently, I would have liked to have explored my options a bit further in terms of making the image look more interesting, whether that being that I made it into a pattern, more colour options, scale, distortions, blurs and much more. Nonetheless, I am happy with the progress I have made since the start of my FMP and I still have a lot of ideas I wish to carry out to make my project as strong as it can possibly be.
